Sarah Schecker is a New York based visual artist, with roots in our Nation’s Capital. Schecker moved to New York to study Photography and Imaging at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her photographic studies have taken her to three different continents to explore people, culture and religion.
Schecker has interned with Duane Michals, Mark Seliger, CBS, NBCUniversal and is currently interning at BuzzFeed. Her work has been featured in The Boston Herald, Study Breaks magazine, The Key of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Light Leaked. Schecker is a 2018-2019 Gordon Parks Foundation Scholar.
In her spare time, Schecker can be found wandering the streets of the city, with her camera of course. When she is not photographing, you can find her playing pool, cooking or traveling around the world.
